The clay for this piece comes from Springfield, MN, where it was used for brick production by Minnesota’s last brick manufacturer, Acme-Ochs Brick & Tile, Co. This gaiwan displays great heat insulation and a perfect lid fit. We find that this clay makes our tea taste a little crisper, and are looking forward to seeing how use changes it!
