Kagoshima Blend Natural Ceremonial Grade Matcha - 20g Tin

Our first foray into other regions of Japan besides Wazuka! This is a beautiful blend of Tencha from around Kagoshima, in the far south of the Japanese island of Kyushu. 

The blend includes Yabukita, Saemidori, Okumidori, and Asanoka cultivars, and is grown in the Kirishima mountains at an elevation of around 200 meters (which, in the context of relatively flat Japan, is higher than usual). 

The Tencha is certified organic and milled to-order by us here in Minneapolis. The result is delightfully well-balanced and smooth, with a strong aromatic floral and fruity nose and a sumptuous, umami-laden flavor.
