Burnished Chawan

This matcha bowl is subtle and textural, with a raised glossy layer on top of a matte grey and bronze-colored layer. It is also very thick, heat resistant, and durable. 

Having a nice matcha bowl is critical to preparing matcha well - the flat bottom and high sides enable vigorous whisking without fear of splashing or damaging the whisk. Beyond that, as it warms up, the bowl becomes a very comforting vessel from which to drink!
